The Challenge
Cengiz Holding, one of Türkiye’s major industrial and infrastructure groups, needed to strengthen security operations at its headquarters with an AI-powered facial recognition and investigation capability.
As a large enterprise group operating across strategic sectors such as construction, energy, mining and services, Cengiz Holding required a security solution that could support real-time watchlist-based alerts, pre-event and post-event investigation, and rapid analysis across its camera and video management infrastructure.
The security team also needed to operate from a unified video management environment rather than switching between multiple separate applications. Since Cengiz Holding had selected Genetec Security Center as its unified security platform, the project required a facial recognition solution that could operate directly within Security Center workflows, Security Desk alarm monitoring, live streams and archived video investigation processes.
“As Cengiz Holding, we needed to strengthen the security capabilities of our headquarters while keeping our security operations within a unified video management environment. Nevalabs’ Corvo Identify was integrated with Genetec Security Center, enabling real-time facial recognition alerts, archived video search, photo search, appearance search and investigation workflows to operate together with our existing camera and VMS infrastructure. The solution helped our security teams review events more effectively, monitor alarms from a centralized interface and use AI-powered recognition technologies as part of our headquarters security operations. We continue to work with Nevalabs through ongoing maintenance, support and software update services.”

The Solution
Nevalabs initially provided Corvo Identify Pro in October 2020 as the AI-powered facial recognition and security investigation layer for Cengiz Holding’s headquarters. The first deployment used Pelco camera streams, available HP server infrastructure at Cengiz Holding and a 1,000-enrollment license.
Corvo Identify was deployed with its Genetec Security Center integration, enabling facial recognition workflows to operate within the customer’s existing unified security environment. Through this integration, Corvo Identify could use Security Center as a video source for real-time facial recognition, watchlist-based alarms, unknown person detection and restricted zone violation alarms; analyze archived video through Security Center-based video search workflows; and deliver enriched facial recognition alarms into the Security Desk Alarm Monitoring task. The Corvo Identify task within Security Center also allowed authorized users to access Corvo Identify workflows from the Genetec environment.
This allowed Cengiz Holding’s security team to monitor facial recognition alarms alongside other security and video analytics events in a unified operational environment. Alarm information could include subject photo, subject name, watchlist, organization, alarm type, similarity score, camera information and related video evidence where authorized.
In December 2021, the deployment was expanded with additional camera coverage, including Hanwha Vision camera streams, and the enrollment capacity was increased from 1,000 to 10,000. This expansion strengthened the system’s ability to support broader headquarters security and investigation workflows.
Under a later maintenance and support agreement in 2025, the deployment was upgraded to Corvo Identify Ultimate, adding enterprise-grade capabilities and strengthening long-term operational continuity. The collaboration with Cengiz Holding continues through ongoing maintenance, support and software update services.
Corvo Identify supported real-time facial recognition alarms from live camera streams, watchlist-based monitoring, unknown person detection, restricted zone violation alarms, photo-based search, archived video search, detection history review and appearance search. These capabilities enabled authorized security teams to review incidents, analyze pre-event and post-event footage, and search for persons of interest using both facial and appearance-based criteria.
The project was delivered in collaboration with Arte Teknoloji, which supported the camera infrastructure across the deployment phases, including the initial Pelco camera environment and later Hanwha Vision camera streams, while Nevalabs delivered the Corvo Identify software layer and Genetec-integrated facial recognition workflows.
